Fervenza do Toxa in Silleda, the biggest waterfall in Galicia

The largest waterfall in Galicia is in Pontevedra. Specifically, in the municipality of Silleda. This spectacular free fall of water has a height of 30 meters and is located in a natural and paradisiacal environment very well-preserved, 40 km from Pontevedra capital, very close to the mouth of the river Toja.

In addition, there are other waterfalls in this area of Pontevedra that you can visit on a walking route, such as the Escuadro Waterfall. Although they are not comparable in height, it is undeniable its beauty and its more than interesting natural attraction to take into account.

It is easy to access on foot in a simple hiking route from the viewpoints near the parish of Pazos. Fervenza de Reboreda in Redondela

Waterfalls in Pontevedra at the Barosa River Nature Park in Barro

Through the N-550 it is easy to access the Barosa river, in an area of passage of the Portuguese Way to Santiago de Compostela. Continuing upstream and past the old bridge, you will reach a river pool where bathing is allowed at certain times of the year.

Waterfalls in Casariños and Coto Grande in Fornelos de Montes

Two beautiful waterfalls in Pontevedra that you can enjoy in the same walk or route are Casariños or Fuente Uceria and Coto Grande. Both are located in the parish of A Laxe, and there is less than a kilometer distance between the two for an easy walk. 

To reach them, you must follow the PO-9303 road from A Airoa towards O Suído.

Segade Waterfall, in Caldas de Reis

You can enjoy this waterfall on a route from the Carballeira de Caldas de Reis in the direction of A Estrada. The water from the waterfall falls into a river pool suitable for bathing.

Raxoi and Pedrafita waterfalls, in Valga
